Rick Wilburn was a man on a mission. As the founder of Wilburn Medical Supply, he was used to getting things done. In 2016, he decided to apply that same drive to his health and was committed to a new routine that found him in the gym nearly every day- sometimes twice!

It was a day like any other when Rick stepped onto the treadmill. But mid-stride, the journey took a terrifying turn. Rick’s heart stopped.

For seven minutes, Rick Wilburn was gone.

According to his doctors, those seven minutes should have been the end of his story. But the narrative shifted because of two critical things: an AED defibrillator hanging on the gym wall and a gym employee who had just completed her AED training that very morning.

Rick didn't just survive. He was given what he and his daughter, Emily Wilburn Andrews, now call his "Bonus Days." It wasn't just a medical miracle; it was a moment that redefined the legacy of their family and their business.
