Become ADA Compliant by 2026

The American Disabilities Act (ADA) 2026 exam table requirements mandate that state and local government entities must have at least one accessible examination table by August 9, 2026. The new rule requires that all newly acquired medical diagnostic equipment (MDE) from October 8, 2024, onwards, must be accessible until the facility meets the minimum requirements for accessibility. The ADA standards for these tables specify a low transfer height, a seated transfer surface, support rails, and space for transfers from multiple sides.
